Teaching strategies: 3P modle of teaching
Step 1 Presentation
Warm-upTeacher sings a song called "Ten little Indians" with students to review the words they learned before.
After that, teacher shows a picture of 11 Indians,then teach the new word "eleven" ,its pronunciation and spellings in the way of listening and reading.
Teacher can show another picture of 11 apples/ 11 bananas/eleven dogs/ etc.
Step 2 Practice
the whole calss- read the word "eleven" together
Students read the word "eleven" group by group,row by row
Students spell the word "eleven" together witht he whole class
Students spell the word "eleven" group by group,row by row
Students read or spell the word one by one (if there is enough time)
Ask and answer :Teacher Ask and students answer the questions:
T: How many apples/bananas/dogs/cats/ can you see?
Ss: Eleven apples.
7. Ask Students work in pairs and practice
Step 3 Production
Ask Students come to the front to show their procuctions. (Talk abnout the pictures in pairs)

Many teachers may be familiar with the Presentation, Practice and Production (PP)model of teaching.A typical PPP lesson would start by the teacher introducing a new language item in a context followed by some controlled practice, such as drilling, repetition, dialogue reading, etc.
Students then move on to produce the language in a more meaningful way,such as a role play, a drama, an interview, et百思特网c.Some teachers may also be familiar with the five-step teaching method, which is quite similar to the PPP mode百思特网l but adding revision at the beginning and consolidation at the end.
